What “Working Hard” Looks Like in My Studio

1. Design and Prep: 45 minutes 

Every personalised wedding card starts with your names and date. I draft the layout, cut the base card from FSC cardstock, and select embellishments to match the couple. No two cards are identical because no two couples are.

2. Layering and Building: 2 to 3 hours 

This is where the real work happens. Each 3D flower in the photo above is shaped by hand. The leaves are individually inked and glittered. The pearl clusters, diamante centres, and die-cut frames are placed one by one. A machine can’t do this. Only working hard by hand gives that luxury depth you see.

3. Calligraphy and Personalisation: 30 minutes 

Your message is printed. That means practice sheets, testing ink flow, and triple checking so every letter is perfect. If I make a mistake, the whole insert starts again. That’s working hard for quality.

4. Gift Boxed and Finishing: 20 minutes

Once the glue is fully set, the card is mounted, checked for loose elements, and placed in a rigid gift box. It’s wrapped and ready so you don’t have to.
