A Busy Wedding Season: Handcrafting Personalised Wedding Cards in Leicestershire

Hello Readers

If you’ve found this post, you’re probably planning a wedding, love handmade stationery, or you just want to see what my 8-month-old puppy Daisy has destroyed this week. All are valid reasons.

I’m currently working through one of the busiest wedding seasons I’ve ever experienced here in my card studio in Leicestershire. And I wanted to take you behind the scenes to show you exactly what goes into creating the personalised wedding cards you’ll find in my shop.

.

Every Personalised Wedding Card is Made By Hand, By Me

I design and handcraft all of the personalised wedding cards from my collections right here in my little studio. No factories, no outsourcing, no bulk printing. It’s just me, a lot of cardstock, and usually a glass of lemonade by my side.

It’s genuinely one of my favourite parts of the job — being a small part of my clients’ special days. Creating bespoke wedding cards complete with names, dates, and personal messages straight from the heart is what makes this work so special. Whether it’s a Mr & Mrs card, a To the Happy Couple design, or something completely custom, every detail is added by hand.

Because I’m based in Leicestershire, I’m proud to ship handmade personalised wedding cards across the UK.

Just Me, Daisy Dog, and a Very Long To-Do List

Running a one-woman studio means the juggling act is real. From designing new collections, to printing, foiling, cutting, packing orders, and answering emails — every card is made by my own two hands.

And then there’s Daisy.

She’s only 8 months old and has decided her full-time job is “Studio Supervisor”. Which mostly involves sleeping on orders, stealing ribbon, and staging dramatic shredding incidents when I’m on a deadline.

See exhibit A.

Keeping her relatively entertained while I hit my wedding card deadlines is an ongoing battle. Current tactics include:

Puzzle toys: Buys me 12 minutes of peace

Long walks: Tires her out before I start foiling

Bribery: watermelon tax for every card packed ( Daisy is very health conscious

Why Choose Handmade Personalised Wedding Cards?

With so many mass-produced options out there, here’s why couples choose a handmade card:

ImpersonalMade By A Real Person Who Cares About Your Day

A personalised wedding card becomes a keepsake. I’ve had couples tell me they framed theirs after the wedding, which is the biggest compliment ever!

Planning a 2026 or 2027 Wedding?

My order book for personalised wedding cards is open for the rest of the year and I’m now taking bespoke bookings for 2027 weddings.

Lead times: Because everything is handmade, I recommend ordering your wedding cards 7-8 days before you need them. For completely custom designs, 1-2 weeks is safest, especially during peak summer season.

You can browse the full Wedding Card Collection , or Contact Me if you have a custom idea in mind. I ship across the UK from my studio in Leicestershire.

Thank you for supporting small, handmade, and slightly chaotic businesses like mine.

And thank Daisy for… well, for being cute while I work.
